I have been in conversations where people have taken one side or the other, but I on the other hand haven't taken any side at all. What I believe in is that human beings are the best operators of the AI.
And no matter where you go, low effort isn't appreciated anywhere, whether it is:
- A startup in Silicon Valley
- A flowers shop in Delhi
- A social media influencer
- An artist
- Someone anywhere in any industry
You have to show high effort, only then you reap the rewards. And as per Google's policy, it does not matter whether you use AI or not, as long as the quality of your content is high quality. It's all worth it.
And I'm not saying this just by reading Google's developer guide. I've got enough experience to back this up.
I have worked with all kinds of clients in the past. Those who wanted me to write with AI and without AI both. And to be really honest, my content performed similarly in terms of results we got in our rankings on both ends.
You might think I know how to use AI better than others. That's not the case, I am just a writer with enough experience to drive AI nuts.
- If I am drafting an outline, I ensure whether it is perfect or on point or not
- Even during the research process, I give directions
- When it's time to make edits, I annoy the hell out of Claude
Even if I'm guilty of creating content with AI, I don't let it take my voice away. In fact, this approach worked well for my clients. Here's one story from the past:
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Timeframe | 6 months |
| AI citations gained | 600 |
| Monthly visitors gained | 4,000+ |
| Backlinks used | 0 |
Even though this client said himself that our niche is highly competitive, I delivered and we were able to rank among our competitors in a short time without involving ourselves in link building.
My final take on this is that it doesn't really matter to me whether I write with AI or manually. What really matters to me is whether we are being human or not at the end of the day.
If we are using AI, then it's our responsibility to tame it to our purpose. That could be our voice, way of writing, and everything. We have to annoy it every step of the way. That's how we can get a clone of ourselves and move faster.
I can tell you, I have another project that is still ongoing. They don't care if I use AI. They want me to do so that we can scale things up faster. And we have scaled it.
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Visitors in the last 12 months | 804K+ |
| Blogs published | 100 |
| Timeframe | 1 year |
The best part is, all those blogs sound so mature. Even an SEO expert or any other content writer or editor can never say this is AI content. In reality, it was. I'm just the guy who is controlling AI there.
Writing an article manually takes me 7 days. With AI, I get it done in 2 to 3 days.
That might sound slow to people who use AI to produce cheap, low-quality AI slop. But that's not who I am.
I always deliver work that is built on solid pillars. Wherever I go, I leave my footprints. If a client gets their site deindexed after 6 months of working and paying me, I won't be able to sleep at night.
